Our salmon season really starts producing some
great fish during the summer and keeps producing
great fish right up to November. The Fraser
river is one of the worlds most prolific salmon
bearing river and most of the salmon in our area
stage off of Vancouver and feed in these waters
before heading up the Fraser to spawn. The
Chinooks bound for the Fraser average between
twenty and thirty pounds. During the later part
of the summer Coho begin to show up and are very
aggressive, we are often not able to get gear
down to the Chinooks before the Coho have
grabbed the gear.
This means great fish and fishing for our
guests.
September marks the month of the biggest fish of
the year. The Harrison river white springs begin
their annual trek up to this famed river and
they hold along the Vancouver shoreline feeding
heavily before returning up river.
